Three P's in a Pod: Vacation Part I

VACATION #1: Pollock Family (minus Will and Rebecca---WE MISSED YOU!)

THE RIVER

aka the Colorado River. Located on the boarder of Arizona and California. We stayed on the California side across and a little up river from Parker, AZ, in a family friend's house right on the river. Thanks friends! Not only did we stay in their house but we also borrowed their boat. Great friends, huh?!

We would take the boat out a few times a day; taking turns so adults were always around while the children napped or played. It was the perfect set up for a family with kids of all ages and different schedules. Occasionally everyone including the kids (4 kids and 8 adults) would all take a boat ride. The trip lasted 8 days. It was the best!

The weather was hot and dry ranging from 100-115 degrees. Main activities at the river: water ski, wakeboard, tube, wakesurf, RELAX, read, get hot, jump in the river, swim.

Theo kept busy by moving the tube around and a whole bunch of other things.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes from Theo:

"I got to get Teenie (aka grandma Christine) and grandpa a coke."

Never mind that they already have one.

"I got to get Teenie a book (aka magazines)."

Theo is very helpful! He would help you do anything without being asked.

"I got to get me juice coke (aka Izzy Soda)."

"This is a spicy drink."

Referring to the Izzy Soda again.

Owen and Christina!

Owen Augustus Carruth was born June 11th. Making him and Christina about 6 months apart. However, if you looked only at their hands and feet you would have no idea. Because they are the same size! Big Owen and little Christina.
